About us:

Amazi Water is the primary, in-country partner for clean water projects in Burundi. In collaboration with others, we are developing a national water strategy with the goal of providing sustainable access to clean water in every community by the end of 2028.

About the Role:

Amazi Water is currently seeking a dynamic and eager Recruitment Technician to join our Human Resources Team reporting to the Human Resources Manager. He/she will need to support our recruiting and onboarding activities.

The Recruitment Technician responsibilities include scheduling calls and interviews, maintaining candidate database and handling paperwork. The Recruitment Technician will help hire efficiently and keep our hiring process running.

If you have some experience in recruiting and you are an excellent organizer and communicator, we would like to meet you.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate hiring activities
  • Undertake clerical duties
  • Prepare and post job ads online
  • Help with resume screening and initial phone screens
  • Schedule interviews and keep calendars for all hiring teams and candidates
  • Greet and assist interviewees onsite
  • Coordinate travel for fly-in candidates
  • Maintain candidate database
  • Handle records and paperwork
  • Resolve issues as fast as possible (e.g. interview cancellations)
  • Assist with new hire onboarding (e.g. preparing documents, coordinating orientation agendas)

Requirements for this position:

  • Proven experience as Recruitment Technician or other recruiting-related role
  • Familiarity with hiring practices and stages (screening, interview, assessment, onboarding)
  • Experience using recruiting software and social networks for recruiting
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Great attention to detail
  • Outstanding communication skills
  • Problem-solving ability
  • University Degree Level Education required or equivalent
  • Driving license
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills in French and English
